From Holiday Intern to System Administrator

Focus on Employees

Tobias is system administrator.

Tobias joined the IT department in autumn 2018. He already knew his new colleagues before his first day at work as a system administrator, because Tobias completed several holiday internships at E+E Elektronik during his time at school. After graduating from technical college (HTL), it was quickly clear to him that he wanted to pursue his career here.

Tobias, what does your workday at E+E Elektronik look like?

I take care of the company's hardware and software issues. It's a very varied job and I get around a lot in the company. Whether it's dealing with hardware problems in Production or setting up new workstations in the various departments. I couldn't imagine spending a whole day just sitting in my office. Besides this, we also look after our six branches around the world.

What is special about your work for you personally?

The diversity. My work ranges from simple PC installations to complex software/hardware problems that need to be solved. My work environment is pretty cool, my colleagues are always in a good mood and everyone is totally helpful – no matter what department you are working with.

What makes E+E Elektronik the right employer for you?

I deal with many different issues that come up every day and therefore also with many areas in which I can develop my skills further. The company also supports you if you want to continue your education. No matter what it is, every idea or opinion is welcome, you are heard and valued. You end your working day with the feeling that you have made a contribution towards ongoing optimisation. For me, the overall picture is simply right!
