Thermal flow meters from E+E Elektronik measure the mass flow or standard volumetric flow of compressed air and non-corrosive gases. They are suitable for pipelines of DN15 to DN700 and enable reliable leak detection. E+E flow sensors therefore play a significant role in reducing costs.

Why E+E Flow Sensors / Flow Meters?

E+E flow meters are easy to install thanks to their installation and service-friendly design. The sensor unit can be removed and installed for maintenance or calibration in just a few seconds.

At the heart of the E+E flow meters is a flow sensing element developed by E+E, based on the hot-film anemometer measurement principle. It has high resistance to contamination and provides long-term stable and accurate measuring results.

The factory calibration for E+E flow meters is carried out in the typical pressure range for a compressed air network at 7 bar, which ensures a high level of measuring accuracy.

  • Measurement is independent of pressure or temperature

The thermal measuring principle enables mass flow and volumetric flow measurement independently of pressure or temperature. This means that the flow sensors can be used in a wide range of pressures and temperatures.

The Right Flow Sensor for Every Application

Modular Flow Meter with Measuring Block (EE741)

ONE flow meter for different pipe diameters. The sensor unit is combined with the matching gauge mounting block, according to the diameter. The measurement unit with probe can be removed or replaced at any time, without extensive work on the pipeline.

Flow Meter with Measurement Ball Valve (EE771)

Once it has been mounted in the pipeline, the EE771 flow meter’s probe can be installed and removed with just a short interruption to the flow. The measurement ball valve ensures the exact positioning of the probe in the pipeline.

Multi-Functional Flow Meter with Hot Tap Valve (EE772)

The EE772 is suitable for applications where the process may not be interrupted. The measuring block with hot tap valve enables the probe to be installed and removed without interrupting the compressed air or gas flow. A dew point or pressure sensor can also be installed in the measuring block.

Insertion Mass Flow Meter for DN50 to DN700 and Up to 16 Bar (232 Psi) (EE776)

The EE776 immersion flow meter is suitable for large pipe diameters of up to DN700 and an operating pressure of up to 16 bar (232 psi). The patented non-return protection ensures safe installation under pressure, while ensuring exact, centred positioning of the probe in the pipeline, thereby ensuring a high level of measuring accuracy.

  • Mounting under pressure
    A special tapping sleeve allows for drilling into the pipeline and for mounting the insertion flow meter during operation.
  • Installation and removal without interrupting the flow
    The probe can be installed and removed without interrupting the flow by using a ball valve. This enables regular calibration without unnecessary system downtime.

Further Plus Points of E+E Flow Sensors

E+E flow sensors impress with their high level of measuring accuracy and range of useful features and functions:

  • Exchangeable probes
    The flow meters feature intelligent probes which store the calibration data. This means the probes can be easily exchanged if a probe needs to be temporarily replaced for servicing purposes, for example.
  • Measuring unit with display
    The current measurement data is always available at a glance on the display. The measuring unit can be placed up to 10 meters from the measuring point in the case of flow meter models with remote probe.
  • Integrated consumption meter
    E+E flow sensors feature an integrated consumption meter. In addition to the current volumetric flow, they also record and store the system’s overall consumption.
  • Analogue or digital outputs
    Two signal outputs are available to output the measured values. These can be configured as a current/voltage output or as a switching or pulse output. The flow sensors are optionally available with a bus interface for Modbus RTU or M-BUS (Meter-Bus).
