The EE23 is a cost optimised, reliable transmitter for industrial and high-end climate control applications in the range -40...180 °C (-40...356 °F). It measures accurately relative humidity (RH) and temperature (T) and calculates the dew point (Td) and the frost point (Tf).
EE23 is available for wall or duct mount, with remote probe, as well as with miniature remote probe. The modular enclosure facilitates mounting, wiring, replacement and maintenance.
The measured data is available on two analogue outputs, an alarm output and on the LCD display. The E+E proprietary coating protects the sensing elements against corrosive and electrically conductive pollution.
EE23 is user configurable and adjustable with push buttons on the electronics board or via software.

How can I clean the filter cap of a humidity measuring device?
How can I clean the filter cap of a humidity measuring device?
-
When does coating help?
The E+E propritary Coating helps in dirty, dusty and corrosive environment. salts, off-shore applications). It improves the sensor’s long term stability in dusty, dirty or oily applications by preventing stray impedances caused by deposits on the active sensor surface and on its connecting leads.
-
When does coating not help?
Coating does not help again chemicals in gazeous form. Contact an E+E sales representative for details on the influence of certain chemicals onto the humidity sensing elements.
-
What is the influence of coating on the response time?
Response time of a humidity sensor protected by the E+E proprietary coating is slightly longer than the response time without coating. Please see the data sheet of the specific sensor.
-
The probe of the RH sensor is installed into separation wall and seems to be out of specs. Why?
Temperature gradients along the sensing probes lead to relevant measurement errors. Whenever possible, install the entire probe inside the space to be monitored. If the probe is installed into a separation wall, make sure to isolate thermally the part of the probe looking out of the wall at the cable side.
-
Can E+E supply an accredited calibration certificate together with the measurement device?
The product data sheet indicates if and what type of inspection certificate is included in to standard scope of supply. Most of the E+E measurement devices feature an inspection certificate according to DIN EN 10204-3.1 or DIN EN 10204-2.2. An accredited calibration certificate is available on request, see the E+E scope of accreditation at our calibration website.
-
How often should I calibrate or readjust my E+E RH measuring device?
The calibration / adjustement interval depend from the application and from the requirements of the specific industry. See also "Princibles of Humidity measurement".

What is the difference between a 2 wire and a 3 wire current output?
Transmitter with "two-wires" technology receive the power from the process, and the signal is carry on return wire (closed current loop). With technology "three-wires" the power supply is separate from current output: 2 wires are the power supply and third carry the signal.
