Important interface between sales and external customers
Focus on Employees
Pierre currently works in internal sales at E+E Elektronik Germany.
E+E Elektronik has 7 branches worldwide, one of which is in Germany, in Oberursel. Pierre has been managing the internal sales department there for around 4 years and still enjoys it immensely. Pierre is a trained technician in the field of mechanical engineering, specializing in automation technology and has also trained in business administration. He can use this mixture ideally in internal sales, so it was clear to him after his training that he wanted to start his professional career in this area.
Pierre, what does your typical working day at E+E look like?
My working day is very diverse and starts in the traditional way with checking my emails. I make an overview of my to-do's and plan my working day accordingly. As my tasks are very varied, no two days are the same. However, I usually start by preparing quotations, contacting customers, supporting them with technical issues, dealing with complaints and spending a lot of time communicating with the field sales team.
Which TOP skills do you need to do the job well?
The most important things in my job are the ability to work in a team, good communication skills, an affinity for technology and a structured way of working. This enables you to master your day-to-day work perfectly.
What is special about your work for you personally?
What I enjoy most is the variety and the fact that it never gets boring. I'm in contact with customers, but also a lot with my colleagues from the sales force. I have the opportunity to attend trade fairs from time to time, where I get to see a lot of the market. In addition to providing technical support, preparing quotations and assisting my colleagues in the field, I am also responsible for carrying out calibrations and minor service work. This is a great addition to my other tasks.
What makes E+E the right employer for you?
E+E Elektronik is the right employer for me because we have a great team here at Oberursel and the working atmosphere is very good. Because our branch is still small, you're not just a number, you're appreciated as a valuable employee. I feel that in my daily work. E+E Elektronik always endeavors to ensure that the exchange with the headquarters in Engerwitzdorf is not neglected. For example, there are regular training sessions in Austria where many colleagues from all countries come together to exchange ideas and learn from each other.
