Wolfgang works for us in the field of technical documentation, in the product management department.

Wolfgang has been working for our company in the field of technical documentation since 2019. Before joining E+E Elektronik, he spent a long time in Vienna, but wanted to return to Upper Austria. As he comes from the surrounding area, he became aware of E+E Elektronik at that time and applied for a job. Wolfgang is a trained electrical engineer and had early discovered his affinity for writing, formulating and tinkering. So the path into technical documentation was a great opportunity to apply these skills.

The exciting thing about my job is the combination of technology and marketing - two areas that are quite unrelated. I work closely with product management, development and marketing and can play an active role in the design and content of our documents. The great thing about technical documentation is that you must deal with the entire product world and its functionalities. I am also entrusted with several special tasks that bring me into contact with many other departments.

In my job, the most important thing is an "eye for detail". Documents often come down to small details, but these are very important. Careful, precise and quality-conscious work is also necessary. Technical understanding does not hurt to better understand the background and connections. Finally, a certain level of stress resistance and self-organization is also an advantage, as there are often several important projects to work on at the same time.

I particularly enjoy supporting products throughout the product life cycle from a technical documentation perspective. My work is a good mix of technical topics, product descriptions, texts, graphics and organization. New products are particularly exciting for me, as they give me the opportunity to redesign documents or optimize the way they are presented. For example, our new flow sensor will soon be launched on the market, which I will be able to present together with the product manager and the marketing department. I'm also responsible for maintaining statistics codes and other master data. At first glance, this may sound strange. But because of the requirements, such tasks are very well suited to technical editing. I like the insight into the company organization and the contact with other departments. In general, I enjoy the largely free organization of my work, the personal responsibility and the trust placed in me.

At E+E Elektronik, I enjoy the relaxed and uncomplicated interaction with each other across all areas. We also have a good sense of humor - it's simply fun to work here! I also particularly appreciate the canteen at the site, where there are good hot meals and that I can travel to and from work in my car without any traffic jams. Unlike in Linz, I don't have to worry about finding a parking space, as the company offers a large free employee parking lot.
